English version Chinese Version

The demand for air transport in China will continue to rise strongly, primarily driven by China 's fast and stable economic growth. At the end of 2006, it is estimated that the volume of China 's foreign trade will have exceeded 1600 billion US dollars, an increase of about 15% from 2005, while the tourism industry will boast a figure of more than 120 million tourists. By the end of 2005, the tourist destination abroad for Chinese citizens approved by the State Council had reached 117 countries or regions with an indication that these figures will continue to rise.

For the first time in China and with the support of the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China (CAAC), this summit will host more than 180 airports and airlines attendees to discuss the future development opportunities for air routes in China . The China Civil Airport Association (CCAA), the biggest body representing airports in China , will be represented by the top 50 airport CEOs , while the China Air Transport Association (CATA) will be represented by all the major airline CEOs in China . This summit will be the only government authorized routes event in China and the Guangdong Airport Management Corporation will use this summit as a platform for airports, airlines and aviation regulators to discuss the strategic future direction for routes development in China .
